Start in the historic Motomachi area, where you can walk along the picturesque Hachimanzaka Slope and discover Hakodate’s distinctive churches and historic architecture.

Continue to Goryokaku Tower for panoramic views over the famous star-shaped Goryokaku Fort and Hakodate city. From the observation deck, you can appreciate the unique shape of this historic fortress from above.

Next, visit Hakodate Morning Market, one of the city’s best-known food destinations. Browse stalls selling fresh seafood and local products, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of this traditional market. Please note that most shops close around 2:00 PM.

Continue to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, a historic waterfront complex filled with shops, local products, cafés, and restaurants.

Finally, head to Mt. Hakodate and enjoy panoramic views over the city, Hakodate Bay, and the surrounding coastline from the mountaintop observation area. Access to the summit may vary depending on seasonal traffic restrictions, weather conditions, and ropeway operations.
