Overview
Begin your private shore excursion with a convenient pickup directly from Naze Port. Travel in the comfort of your own private vehicle. Unlike a large group tour, there is no need to keep pace with other travelers, allowing you to enjoy each destination comfortably and at your own pace.
Your first stop is Amami City Amami Museum, where you can learn about Amami’s rich history, traditional culture, natural environment, and local way of life. The museum features exhibits covering the islands’ history, culture, plants, animals, and traditional tools, making it a great introduction to Amami before exploring the island.
Continue to Kuninao Fukugi Tree Avenue, a peaceful scenic area where you can enjoy a relaxing walk surrounded by Fukugi trees and the tropical landscape of Amami. Take some time to enjoy the quiet atmosphere, natural scenery, and local coastal environment.
Next, visit Ohama Seaside Park, one of Amami’s beautiful coastal areas. Enjoy views of the clear blue sea, white sandy beach, and subtropical surroundings. The park is also known for its beautiful ocean sunsets and relaxed seaside atmosphere.
At the park, visit the Amami Marine Exhibition Hall, where you can discover the fascinating marine life of Amami. See sea turtles, tropical fish, coral, shells, and other creatures from the waters around Amami Island. The exhibition also introduces the relationship between the local people and the sea, with additional hands-on and educational experiences available. The facility has an elevator and accessible toilets.
After enjoying the seaside scenery and marine exhibits, relax during the drive back to Naze Port, arriving with time to continue your cruise journey.
