Overview
Begin your private shore excursion with convenient pickup directly from Komatsushima Cruise Port, where your dedicated professional driver will meet you. This tour both starts and ends at Komatsushima Cruise Port, providing a convenient round-trip shore excursion designed around your cruise schedule.
Travel comfortably in your own private vehicle and follow a carefully planned itinerary through the cultural and historical highlights of Tokushima.
Your tour follows this itinerary in order:
1. Awa Odori Kaikan — approximately 60 minutes
Start at the Awa Odori Kaikan, where you can experience the traditions, history, and energy of Tokushima’s famous Awa Odori dance. Discover the cultural significance of this centuries-old festival and learn how it has become one of Tokushima’s most celebrated traditions.
2. Bizan Ropeway & Mount Bizan — approximately 60 minutes
From Awa Odori Kaikan, take the Bizan Ropeway up Mount Bizan. Enjoy panoramic views over Tokushima City and the surrounding landscape from the mountain, one of the city’s best-known scenic viewpoints.
3. Tokushima Castle Park — approximately 45 minutes
Continue to Tokushima Castle Park, the former site of Tokushima Castle and the historic center of the Hachisuka clan. Enjoy a walk through the park while discovering traces of Tokushima’s feudal history and the former castle grounds.
Before your tour, you will receive an exclusive English digital guidebook with detailed historical and cultural information about the itinerary and each sightseeing location. Communication with the driver will be assisted by a translation device.
After completing the itinerary, your driver will take you directly back to Komatsushima Cruise Port with the itinerary planned to leave a comfortable margin before your scheduled boarding time.
