Overview

Begin your private shore excursion with a convenient pickup directly from Takamatsu Port. Travel in the comfort of your own private vehicle. Unlike a large group tour, there is no need to keep pace with other travelers, allowing you to enjoy each destination comfortably and at your own pace.

Start with Yashima, a scenic plateau overlooking Takamatsu and the Seto Inland Sea. Visit the mountaintop area and enjoy panoramic views of the city, coastline, and islands scattered across the Seto Inland Sea. You can also visit Yashimaru, a modern observation facility where the glass-lined walkway and viewing spaces offer beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

Continue to Ritsurin Garden, one of Japan’s most celebrated traditional landscape gardens and a designated Special Place of Scenic Beauty. Stroll through the beautifully maintained grounds featuring ponds, landscaped hills, traditional bridges, and carefully shaped pine trees. The garden offers a peaceful opportunity to experience traditional Japanese landscape design and seasonal scenery.

If time permits, make a final stop at Takamatsu Castle Ruins (Tamamo Park). Built beside the Seto Inland Sea, Takamatsu Castle was a distinctive coastal castle that incorporated seawater into its moats. Explore the historic grounds and see surviving and reconstructed structures that reflect the history of the former castle.

After exploring the scenic and historic highlights of Takamatsu, return comfortably to Takamatsu Port with the itinerary planned to leave a comfortable margin before your scheduled boarding time.

Before the tour, you will receive an English digital guidebook with information about the itinerary and each sightseeing location. The driver speaks Japanese, and communication will be assisted by a translation device.
